Worship Celebrations

The following is a list of our worship celebrations that take place throughout the week.

Sunday Worship Celebrations   

Early Morning Service begins at 7:45 a.m.
Morning Service begins at 10:45 a.m.
Communion Sunday is every first Sunday of the Month.

Mid-Week "Hour of Power"

Hour of Power is an hour long worship celebration that takes place every Wednesday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.  Lunch is served following the celebration.  Hour of Power is currently postponed until after Annual Conference.

History of Bethel A.M.E. Church

Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church met for the first time as an organized mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Connection on Sunday, October 2, 1921 in the Normandie Hall building under the ministry of Major G.W. Prioleau. Major Prioleau was a graduate of Wilberforce University with the degree of Doctor of Divinity. He served for many years with dignity and commendation as Chaplain in the U.S. Army and local preacher, pastor, presiding elder in the Methodist Connection. Rev. George W. Prioleau had transferred from the North Ohio Conference and enrolled as an Elder.
